Never get a speeding ticket again

With the price of gas lately, I’m trying to avoid speeding for conservation’s sake; whether I’m at work in Baltimore or at home in Bethesda, a tank of gas is now a serious investment.
But should I decide to throw caution to the wind - or if I’m really in a hurry…. Trapster.com might be my salvation.
I heard about it on the radio while commuting to work this week, and I’m curious to try it out.
Talk about using user-generated content in a serious way: the site allows you to report speed traps with your cell phone. In turn, your phone will alert you when you’re approaching one (based on other users’ reports).
Here’s how they say it works:
It combines technologies such as GPS and wireless location, voice transcription, geocoding, reverse geocoding, and SMS, with a central database server. It communicates in real time, using the Internet.
And you shouldn’t feel guilty, at least not according to the AP, which dubs it the “modern equivalent of flashing your headlights to warn other motorists of police speed traps.”
Check out a video demonstration and tell me what you think.
