Drug suspect freed after bail mistake

Baltimore court officials say a drug suspect has been freed from jail after his bail was mistakenly set at $10,000, instead of the $100,000 ordered by a court commissioner.U.S. marshals and city police are now searching for 28-year-old Nathan Parker, whom they describe as a leader of the “Jigga” drug ring.
A court commissioner initially set Parker’s bail at the lower amount, and then changed her mind. However, a handwritten order to change the amount didn’t make it into the jail’s computer system in time.
The error was the second in a month resulting in a mistaken release. Last month, an attempted murderer suspect was released the day after he was convicted.
