Fourth ID theft conspirator gets sentenced to prison
July 30, 2008
The last of four Baltimore residents in an identity theft ring has been sentenced to 65 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.
According to the plea agreement, Derrick Faulcon and his conspirators stole personal information from employers’ customers or patients without their knowledge, including identification and credit information.
Home Depot At Home Services was one of the businesses used. A participant in the scheme who worked there would give stolen credit information to Faulcon. He would use it to buy items at Home Depot and to open accounts at other stores.
As part of his sentence, Faulcon must pay $531,973.75 in restitution.
