Man convicted in slaying of Baltimore officer

A Baltimore man was convicted Friday in the shooting death of an off-duty city police officer during what prosecutors described as a robbery attempt. Jurors deliberated for about four hours Thursday afternoon and Friday morning before finding Brandon Grimes guilty of first-degree murder in the slaying of Detective Troy L. Chesley.
