Get the goods on your coworkers’ criminal pasts

I am a hardened criminal. A danger to society.

At least, I am according to criminalsearches.com, a new site that promises free, detailed criminal history reports. And I’m assuming the “hardened” part, as apparently my offense was more vicious than those of murderers and rapists. Believe me – I searched for a ton of names. Only mine got a hit.

That’ll teach me to speed in middle-of-nowhere Arizona.

I understand it’s still in the Beta stage, but I’m not excitedly inspired by this early incarnation. At least it provides a little interesting searching during the work day. The site also provides (some) information about crimes committed and nearby sex offenders when you enter an address.

Check it out. See if you’re as bad as me.

Yikes! Someone checking on me without knowing my middle name might conclude (incorrectly) that I committed a violent crime in Texas and a sex crime in Arizona. And this site didn’t even find my namesake who did time in Florida. He and I even lived in the same city.
People need to realize the limitations of and dangers in using such sites.

Got something to say?
