Prince George’s County police are looking into whether a man’s disappearance two weeks ago is related to an invasion of his home by armed men.

Twenty-eight-year-old Anthony Nelson has not been seen since he left his Capitol Heights home on Aug. 16. His family says later that day two gunmen came into the home and restrained Nelson’s mother, aunt and half- brother.

Nelson’s mother, Claudia Nelson, says the men who invaded the house took about $400 and computer and electronics equipment. She suspects they might be responsible for her son’s disappearance.

Police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland says Nelson’s vehicle has been located and it appears foul play may be involved. But he says officials don’t have any specific evidence that links the home invasion to Nelson’s disappearance.
