Let our new writer serve as inspiration

We’re proud to have some of this area’s best reporters write for Exhibit A. You might recognize their bylines from their time at The Baltimore Sun or other publications. But we’re open-minded: You don’t have to be a professional journalist or a jurist to have a story to tell and information to share through us.

An example: See the new article by Valdez V. Fisher Jr. about how to get an arrest removed from your record. Mr. Fisher isn’t a lawyer or a judge or a criminal. He’s a bail bondsman who’s made a point of learning about the law.

Several months ago Valdez asked if we’d be interested in something he’d written about why criminals become repeat offenders. Sure, we said. We were planning something about that anyway.

Well, what Valdez wrote soon appeared as a guest editorial. He’d combined his experience as a bondsman with research to create a compelling view of a serious problem.

Turned out that he’d been writing since he was 5 and growing up in Baltimore. He’s published a book, I Ain’t Bitin’ My Tongue, and welcomes opportunities to write.

“I strive to write inspirational stories and stories that generate an awareness of very real and very critical issues,” he says at www.authorhouse.com, which sells his book.

Let Valdez V. Fisher Jr. be your inspiration. Share your knowledge and message with the public, through us or any way you can.
