The Charles County sheriff’s office announced it is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects who may be responsible for a series of thefts.
Officials say a man and woman stole jewelry from a Zales at St. Charles Town Center Mall on Jan. 18. The woman tried on several rings and distracted a sales clerk while the man removed a tray of rings from the display case.
Detectives say a similar theft took place in Montgomery County, involving another female. Detectives say the women are heavyset and in their thirties or forties.
A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to an arrest and indictment.
