Maryland’s state prosecutor says a grand jury has charged a former Seat Pleasant city administrator with felony theft, counterfeiting and other offenses. State Prosecutor Robert Rohrbaugh says a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 42-year-old Bryan Alston of Baltimore County. The indictment was returned on Feb. 5. The indictment alleges that in 2006, Alston issued false check payments to Seat Pleasant vendors by forging the signatures the city’s mayor, treasurer and various vendors.... More
Baltimore’s Northeast District plagued by violence

Records show that Baltimore’s Northeast District has accounted for nearly a third of this year’s 31 homicides in the city. The Northeast is the largest of the city’s nine police districts. Police are investigating two recent slayings in the district. A 62-year-old military veteran was stabbed to death last week, and a 30-year-old man was shot to death outside a nightclub over the weekend.
