2nd letter with powder sent to ex-judge

Another letter containing a suspicious powder has been sent to the Hagerstown law office of a former judge.

The letter was delivered Tuesday to former Washington County Circuit Judge John Corderman’s office.
In December, a western Maryland inmate sent a letter and powder to a Corderman’s office. Police said the powder proved to be harmless.

Hagerstown police Sgt. Paul J. Kifer said it appears that Tuesday’s letter appears to have come from a prison.

In 1989, Corderman was injured when a package was delivered to his Hagerstown apartment and exploded. No arrest was ever made.
