HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. (AP) — A man with grudges against four people has pleaded guilty to repeatedly dumping roofing nails in their suburban New York driveways.

Michael Delisio pleaded guilty in Haverstraw (HAV’-er-straw) Town Court to six counts of third-degree criminal tampering, a misdemeanor.

Police say he planted the clusters of nails in driveways and streets beginning in 2006. Authorities got over 40 complaints from the victims.

Justice John Grant has recommended probation, including work release.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe (ZOO’-gih-bee) says Delisio also will be required to undergo psychiatric testing, and pay $2,765 in restitution to the victims.

Delisio’s sentencing is Dec. 7.
