The Town Board — and one resident — witnessed the 7:22 p.m. vote Monday to repeal laws dating to the 1970s.

Little Creek’s planning commission wrote a 43-page document over the last five months to replace 11 pages of ordinances restricting sports in the street and allowing police to apprehend or kill large animals running loose.

Only 180 people live in the town, down from about 350 more than 100 years ago when the oyster industry was strong.
